I recently found out about two great retrocomputing podcasts with an Apple flavor.
The first is the Retro Mac Cast. Like Retrobits, the RMC gang looks at a different vintage computer or peripheral each episode. They discuss features, history, and how each did on the market. It’s a fascinating look at the life one of the major brands in computing yesterday & today. They also point out interesting eBay auctions for vintage hardware and Apple memorability.
I’ve been going back and listening to their older episodes, and they’re just as good. The audio quality is good, and the hosts have good chemistry together.
I’m also enjoying Mac Folklore Radio, dramatic readings of stories from Andy Hertzfeld’s folklore.org web site. These are short tales (often humorous) from Apple engineers and other staff who worked on the original Macintosh. Derek Warren’s voice is perfect for this kind of podcast, and this is as close as you’re going to get to a Revolution in the Valley audiobook.

I’m glad you enjoy our podcast. John and I certainly enjoy making it each week and our proud we have kept it going for over 100 episodes. Thanks for the kind words! – James
