I’ve noticed a certain…well, I wont say “crazy”…let’s go with “conspiracy-minded”…subset of the Amiga enthusiast population, moreso than I’ve seen with other vintage computers.

There are posts on Amiga newsgroups and message boards about chemtrails and the NSA spying on you through your “pee-sea” or Mac.  So, I guess this comment from Slashdot shouldn’t surprise me as much as it does:

Which is why I use my Amiga for personal pursuits. Although, I am sure that once Obamamerica finds out that I have a non-approved device connected to the Internet, and I have thoughts of my own which are not directed by video streams of passing the buck and exceptional exceptions to hard and fast rules, and countless advertisements about non-consensual consensus, I will have to go into hiding.

I guess it’s the “Obamamerica” bit.  I’ve been really sensitive to right-wing name calling lately.  ”Nobama”…what does that even mean?  ”O-sham-bama”.  What other ones have you all seen?
