Once upon a time, I linked to a cool DHTML version of Lemmings, that smash hit game for the Amiga and many other platforms. But, I’ve just learned of an open source Lemmings clone called Pingus.

Instead of green haired suicidal rodents in tunics, Pingus puts you in control of a bunch of penguins trying to get halfway around the world to have a word with some people about global warming. The graphics are a little different, of course, but the spirit and mechanics of the game are the same.

It’s definitely worth checking out.
