I was looking through my trackbacks, and noticed my post about Shine being moved up to the shelter office was from May 18th. It’s July 10th today, and she’s still up there, but going strong.

Her picture was on one side of our parade “float”, so here’s another shot of the float.

Amy & I marched in Wheaton’s July 4th parade with some other folks from Cat Guardians. We handed out over 3000 pamphlets and really got the word out about the shelter.

Our “float” was a Honda Fit made up to look like a cat, with pool noodles for whiskers and a long blue tail. The kids loved it, and we won an award for “Most Innovative Use of Materials”. Hopefully this’ll turn into even more publicity.
