Lots of stuff

I finally have a real entertainment center instead of the cheesy apartment furniture we used to have! Party at my place!

Fry's in Downers Grove is open and it is GEEK HEAVEN. Small appliances, CDs, DVDs, stereo equipment, car stereo equipment, cameras, home theater, computers, soldering stations, PCB etching equipment, adjustable power supplies…WOW! Oh, and I found a new Marx Brothers box set with their MGM films! I think we have all of their movies now. I've got Leonard Maltin doing a commentary track for A Night at the Opera in another window.

Margarita has warmed up to us. It's weird seeing a cat give you puppy-dog eyes when you leave in the morning.

My brother-in-law Adam moved back in with us for a few months, so I guess I can't get too fresh with Amy in the kitchen for a while. :)

And my paper for class is almost done. Three days late, 3 of 10 points deducted. But at least it'll be finished. Finally. I can't wait for these classes to be over.

Problems with peoples

What is it with some people needing to pluralize certain proper names? I don't know how many grown adults refer to the place their kids shop as "Hot Topics". And today I applied to a job, and had to select "careerbuilders" as the place where I found out about the position. I've heard it in other cases as well, but nothing that springs to mind.

Wasting away again in Margaritaville

In case anyone's interested, Amy posted a picture of our new cat in her blog

She’s warmed up to us a bit today, and even got up the courage to go exploring. So far, she checked out the family room and got stuck behind the couch, and figured out how the door to the crawlspace works!

Don’t worry, this isn’t going to become a blog about my cat. In fact, I hope to weigh in on my thoughts about the relaunch of the Commodore brand sometime this week.

So many things I want to do, and so little time…
