Breezy Badger

Badger, badger, badger…

(Sorry…I had to get it out of my system…)

I've been putting it off, but I finally upgraded my laptop to the latest version of Ubuntu Linux (5.10, AKA "Breezy Badger"). And then, after that was in place, I upgraded to KDE 3.5, which I mentioned in my previous post.

Wow. I serious don't think I can justify buying a Mac anymore. I still hate lugging around this heavy laptop everywhere I go, but I finally have working ACPI power modes! I can finally tell my laptop to "standby" or "suspend" or even "hibernate", and it actually does it. No more cold booting just to work on my paper on the train platform.

I owe some Linux kernal hacker somewhere a beer.
