Oceans Thirteen

Warner Brothers is making an Oceans Thirteen.

It's a sequel to a sequel to a remake. On the bright side, there's still no Three's Company movie in the works. The world is safe…for now.

PSP Lemmings

March 22, 2006 by Dave Ross

According to a site called MobileWhack (insert double entendres here…use the Simpsons' "Whacking Day" episode for inspiration), the 1991 classic game Lemmings will be coming out soon for the PSP.

And hopefully fewer people will look at me strangely when I put my hands to the side of my head, tremble, and go "oh no *pop*"…

BTW, someone named "Crisp" put together a DHTML version that you can play in your browser if you're wondering what all the fuss is about.

Yeah, it's from a press release, so take it with the usual grain of salt. Still, it's interesting to see it in print. I've always felt that having to refrain from expressing tics has given me a greater sense of my own body and its mechanisms, but since I've never known life without Tourette's, I didn't have anything to compare myself to. It's nice to see some validation…

Though the repetitive vocal and motor tics characteristic of Tourette's syndrome may suggest an inability to control involuntary actions at the cognitive level, researchers have now found evidence that young people with Tourette's syndrome actually exhibit a greater level of cognitive control over their movements than their non-affected peers do.

According to the authors, this finding most likely reflects a compensatory change in TS individuals whereby the chronic suppression of tics results in a generalized suppression of reflexive behavior in favor of increased cognitive control.
