The eBay scene is a little mixed up right now, with sellers protesting their new fee structure and feedback rules. Plus, it’s tax season, and eBay sales are traditionally slow this time of year.
I got home around seven, gave Inigo his medicine, and sat down for a few minutes to check my email. I wanted to give his Reglan a few minutes to kick in before I opened up a few cans of cat food.
The lightning started getting nasty, and I saw a bolt strike just down the road. Our power was out, and that makes it kind of hard to make people food when your stove has electronic ignition. It was pretty easy to convince Amy to go out to Giordano’s for dinner, and we picked up a copy of the New York Times so we had a crossword to do.
It was almost 10 when we got back, and the power was back up already. That’s good, because we needed to bake for today’s bake sale at Cat Guardians. Amy made the box of lemon squares I picked up, and I made two chocolate pudding cheesecake pies with Ghirardelli ganache (one for us). I tried a slice this morning, and it turned out really rich. I wish I made the pudding layer smaller, though, to give it a stronger cheesecake taste.
This weekend is going to be rough. I have to make a trip to the post office to send a package and pick up my autographed Terry Malloy “Davros” picture. Then, there’s a memorial service for my grandma Violet who I haven’t seen since I was 10, but my dad wants me to be there even though he’s the one who cut ties to her years ago. And, I’m going to put some time in on a work project because it needs to be done by May 5th.
