I wish I’d known about this, or I would have spread the word about it. DuPage County Animal Care & Control (DCACC) had a “Black Friday” sale through December 15th. You could have gotten a black cat or kitten for 50% off. I love it!

I’m also psyched because I found a pamphlet for download on their site explaining that it’s illegal to let your pet cat out.

And, for those people complaining about adoption fees, the DCACC is “a self-supporting (non taxpayer funded) county department”. That’s right, here in DuPage County, no tax money goes toward taking care of the animals. It’s all funded with adoption fees and donations, even at the county shelter.

They say these things happen in threes.
